The Huntington Independent School District is a 3-A rural district nestled within 226 square miles of Angelina County that provides educational facilities and resources to meet the needs of more than 1617 students on five campuses. Huntington High School and Pride Alternative School have 496 students in grades nine through twelve. Huntington Middle School has 399 students in grades six through eight. Huntington Intermediate School has 225 students in grades four through five. Huntington Elementary School has 497 students in grades pre-kindergarten through three. Huntington ISD's location places it near several institutions of higher learning in the state: Stephen F. Austin State University is located 30 miles north in Nacogdoches. Angelina College is 10 miles north in Lufkin.

SCHOOL INFORMATION FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

HISD is canceling classes for Thursday, February 29th and Friday, March 1st so students, parents, and staff can attend the Devilettes UIL State Tournament game in San Antonio.

SCHOOL Update-Wednesday, January 17th

All Huntington ISD campuses will open on time tomorrow (Wednesday, January 17th) with a regular day planned and buses will run according to their normal schedule.
